Prayer, From Jewish LIfe No. 1 by Ernest Bloch is a heartfelt expression of Jewish culture, sometimes murmured sometimes cried. Bloch was a violinist who studied with Eugene Ysaye. He became an American citizen and was director of CIM in 1920 and San Francisco Conservatory in 1930.
